Early Beginnings and the Passion for Motorsport
Born and raised in Dungarvan, Ireland, Tomás Kiely developed a love for motorsport from an early age, inspired by his father’s success in rally and circuit racing.
His fascination with cars quickly turned into hands-on experience as he began competing in oval and circuit racing across Ireland. However, it was drifting that truly captured his passion, and by the age of 13, he was already competing in the Prodrift Championship, making a name for himself as one of the youngest professional drivers in the sport.

From Hard Work to Championship Glory
After finishing school, Tomás Kiely balanced a part-time college course while gaining hands-on experience in the car industry, working alongside his father. Due to his growing commitments, he sold his S14 drift car, putting his driving career on hold.
Four years later, James Deane approached Tomás with the idea of building a 180SX, marking his return to competitive drifting. In his first season back (2022), he secured the Irish Drift Championship title and earned multiple podiums in the British Drift Championship (BDC), proving he was back at the top of his game.
Rising to the Top & Global Expansion
Through years of dedication and competitive success, Tomás cemented himself as a top-tier driver, securing multiple podium finishes in the Irish and British Drift Championships before claiming the 2022 Irish Drift Championship title.
Now, he is stepping onto the global stage, competing in Japan, the Middle East, and Europe in 2024, with key events in D1 Grand Prix (D1GP), Oman International Drift Championship, and Drift Masters European Championship (DMEC).
With his aggressive driving style and unwavering ambition, Tomás is determined to leave his mark on the international drifting scene.
